DVD Collection Update…

This is going to look like a lot, but this list includes all the DVD’s I’ve bought since Janurary so it’s not too bad. Here’s the latest added to my collection:

Royal Tenenbaums: A Criterion Collection edition, I just could not pass this up. ($10)
Bad(der) Santa: The unrated version of Bad Santa, this is one of my favorite comedies of all time, and finally reasonably priced. ($10)
Equilibrium: Seen by some as a simple low-budget Matrix ripoff, I myself find it a very impressive, philosophical sci-fi movie. This flick also proved to me that Christian Bale was the right choice for Batman, as he had to do several fight scenes in this. No real dvd bonus features though. ($10)
Land Before Time: Classic childhood favorite. ($10)
Brave Little Toaster: Another childhood favorite… so good! ($10)
How to Kill Your Neighbor’s Dog: This was an impulse buy. I still haven’t seen it, but I’ve read it’s an excellent indie film. ($8)
Stanley Kubrick Collection: This cost $75, but includes 8 fantastic Kubrick films (The Shining, Clockwork Orange, etc) plus a bonus disc about the famous film-maker.
Carlito’s Way: Made by the same director of Scarface and again led by Al Pacino, this was a no-brainer. ($10)
Casino: Director Martin Scorcese (hope I spelled that right…) did the fantastic Raging Bull, The Aviator, and Gangs of New York. Casino stars Robert DeNiro and Joe Pesci, very much in the same vein as Goodfellas. ($10)
Nip/Tuck Season 1 Boxset (5 discs): I’d always wanted to hop on board this show from the FX network and now I finally can. I finished watching the whole season and I am hooked. (only $20!)
Rescue Me Season 1 Boxset (3 discs): I had seen all of Season 2, and some of Season 1.  The show was solid enough to see in it’s entirety… a worthwhile purchase but doesn’t hold up compared to the value of the Nip/Tuck set. (also $20)
Beast Machines Complete Series Boxset: This wraps up the entire Beast Wars/Machine Transformer saga. Pricey, but now I finally own every episode of both series. ($35)
