David Bond vs. Greg Schmaus

I was on LinkedIn and came across the following infographic that led to a revealing, albeit short, debate. I swear, sometimes I feel like I live in a society that still hasn’t graduated middle-school…screen-shot-2017-02-20-at-8-13-53-pm

Then this guy named Greg Schmaus decides to push back and make the classic argument for less government as a solution.

Anyone with a basic understanding of economics and politics knows immediately that this guy is pushing for further empowering corporations via less government regulation. He’s peddling trickle-down economics, which are provably flawed. I couldn’t let that stand.

Now of course I’m bias, but I’m pretty sure I objectively mopped the floor with this guy. I provided data, accurate statistics, and historical context. His rebuttal?

I rest my case. But I like to twist the intellectual knife once a fool has been skewered, so I left a parting gift:
